IBRAHIMA NIANG

Ibrahima Niang holds a PhD in Sociology from the University Cheikh AntaDiop of Dakar, Senegal. He is assistant lecturer at the Department of Sociology ; his teaching focuses on African sociology and anthropology, sociology of development andinternational relations, and China’s geopolitics in Africa. He has stayed extensively in China and was engaged in research at the CODESRIA program (Africa-China) and the School of Agriculture and Rural Development of the People’s University of China. He holds a Certificate in Economic Development from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Ibrahima is the author and co- author of numerous scientific articles and reports on development issues and foresight, academics freedoms, migration, conflicts, research governance and epistemology, and social movements. He was a Fellow of Edinburgh African Studies Center, UK and holds an individual research fellowship of the Africa Peacebuilding Network (APN) of the Social Sciences Research Council (SSRC). He was Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Cape Town, Institute of Humanities (Knowledge activism strengthening African publishing and dissemination -Open Society Foundations + HUMA + LASPAD) 

Dr. Han Ji

Dr. Han Ji, is an associate research fellow in Agricultural Information Institute (AII) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). His main research area at present is food security, rural anti-poverty and sustainable development, and international agricultural cooperation. Dr. Ji has chaired and participated in a series of research projects, including international cooperation projects with CABI and IFPRI, mainly focusing on food financialization, regional socioeconomic sustainable development, rural governance, et al. He has published several articles in leading journals of agricultural economics.
